A complete summary of the information regarding to electronic toll for your easy reference.
The toll is the payment of the amount calculated electronically according to the
vehicle category, vehicle emission class and vehicle axle number
for driven distance on a selected road section based on
the data obtained electronically.
The driver of the vehicle is required to place and activate an on-board unit including its accessories in the vehicle before driving on the selected road sections. The on-board unit allows the vehicle obliged to pay the toll to record
accurate data about the use of the selected road sections.
The on-board unit is not portable.
ROAD USE AGREEMENT
It is concluded by the toll collection administrator National Motorway Company and the vehicle operator.
Having concluded the agreement on on-board unit provision National Motorway Company undertakes to enable the vehicle operator to use the selected road sections according to the Act on Toll Collection and the vehicle operator undertakes to pay toll for the use of the selected road sections.
The toll rate is adjusted annually, always as of January 01 of the subsequent calendar year, on the basis of the harmonized customer price index for the preceding year published by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic.
The toll rates are defined separately for different vehicle categories and emission classes.
Applicable toll rates for particular vehicle types
The toll may be paid cash, by bank wire transfer, by credit card or fuel card issued by an issuer approved by the toll collection administrator.

Motorways, expressways, 1st class, 2nd class and 3rd class roads are charged. Roads situated in the urban areas of the selected towns and municipalities also belong to the charged sections.
